This stunning blazer was made in the 1940s from black rayon faille. It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with a beautiful nipped waist. The oversized collar has been adorned with black soutache work in a net shape interspersed with tiny beads and adds a real statement detail. Below the fitted waist, the jacket flares out into a flattering peplum and four stunning dimpled buttons fasten the jacket at the front.

The jacket is in good condition, however there is some light fading throughout as well as some slight shine in the areas where the seams were let out on the back and a small underarm repair as pictured.
