Super Rare Original Late 1920s / Early 1930s Vintage White Women’s Plus Fours By Tomboy
These incredible trousers were made in the 1930s from a weighty linen and cotton blend. They are cut in the classic plus fours style with a fitted cuff just below the knee that creates a wonderful puffed effect at knee level. They fasten with three buttons at each side of the fitted waist and the thighs are cut loosely with some lovely volume. There are tiny functional welt pockets at the waist and loops to hold a belt. Inside, there is a maker’s label for Tomboy. Plus fours were a classic menswear sporting garment in the 1920s and 1930s and it is very rare to see a pair that was specifically designed as womenswear.
