Stunning Red Early 1950s 50s Coat With Astrakhan Collar
This stunning coat was made from super soft red wool (it feels like there may be some cashmere but cannot be certain) in the 1950s. It is literally the most perfect Christmas coat, so soft and snuggly! The coat was cut to fall in a straight line from gently padded shoulders and it’s small rounded collar has been adorned with striking black astrakhan! Five red buttons fasten the coat at the front and the inside is lined in the most luxurious red satin with a floral pattern. There is a maker’s label for Millners of Lynchburg Virginia attached to the lining at the back of the neck as well as the National Recovery Board tag on the side seam.
Bust: 40” (tight 41”)
Shoulders: 14 1/2” seam to seam
Length: 41 plus 1 3/4” hem
The coat is in very good condition with only some grazes and faint marks as pictured.
