Stunning Original Vintage 1940s 40s Emerald Green Gabardine Suit By Moordale
This amazing suit was made from emerald green gabardine in the 1940s. It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The jacket features large patch pockets below the waist which add a fabulous yet practical design detail. The small rounded off collar leads to a single row of four buttons which fasten the jacket at the front. Inside, the blazer is lined in crepe and has a maker’s label for Moordale Casual. The matching skirt was cut in a slight A line and has the most fabulous arrowhead stitching at the rear vent. It fastens with an original metal side zipper and button closure above.
Shoulders: 16” seam to seam
Waist: 30” possibly up to 2” more with the button moved
Length: 29 1/2” plus a 1 1/2” hem
The suit is in very good condition with only a few professional repairs as pictured.
