This fabulous coat was made in the late 1940s / early 1950s from gabardine in a red and navy tartan pattern. The coat was cut in a straight silhouette with a double breasted wrap over design that fastens with four buttons. The notched lapel collar has been adorned with snuggly faux fur, there are functional pockets at the hip a a no a flattering back belt which adds an unusual design detail. Inside, the coat is lined in quilted cream rayon and has a maker’s label for Thermo Jac’s Great Scot.

The coat is in good condition, however there are a few frays and holes externally as well as some discolouration to the lining as pictured .
