This beautiful hat was made in the 1930s from fine quality woven pale straw. The hat was fashioned with the typical low crown of the period and has a wide brim, ideal for shading the wearer from the sun. A large black velvet band adorns the crown and is tied in a large bow at the back. Inside, there is a black grosgrain hat band with a maker’s label for Au Printemps Paris and a hat elastic to keep it in place.
Size: the hat perches loosely on the head and is thus suitable for a variety of head sizes.
The hat I’m in very good condition with only a few small spots as pictured.
