Stunning Original 1930s 30s Vintage Brown Olive Green Carved Bakelite Cloak Clasp

This stunning cloak clasp was made in the 1930s from beautifully marbled brown Bakelite with a hint of olive green. Each Bakelite section has wonderfully tapered off edges and has been hand carved with a stylish geometric Art Deco design. Silver metal clasps on each Bakelite piece allow the four linked metal chain to stay in place with one side slightly raised so it can be easily slid out to open the clasp. At the back, there are two screw loop fittings on each piece to sew onto the cloak. Being Bakelite, it is lightweight enough to be suitable for use on a cardigan too. 

Size: 5 1/2” long x 1 1/4” tall

The clasp is in very good condition with only some rust to the back as well as a few barely noticeable areas of discolouration on the chain as pictured.
