Stunning Original Early 1930s 30s Art Deco Black Satin Coat With Fur Collar And Trim
This incredible coat was made from a sumptuous black satin in the early 1930s. It is cut in a straight silhouette with a fabulous kick panel that has been offset to the wearer’s right front. The kick panel features three rows of decorative shirring at the top and a cream fur trim at bottom. The same fur is also used for the large wrap collar which leads to the single button fastening the coat at the waist. The sleeve cuffs are adorned with three decorative buttons each, to add a lovely detail. Inside, the coat is lined in mink coloured crepe and it has a hidden ticket pocket where the lining meets the outer fabric.
The coat is in very good condition with only some marks to the lining and a couple of tiny breaks in the fur as pictured. Some of the decorative metal sleeve buttons are a little dented but this doesn’t distract.
