Rare Original 1940s 40s Vintage Brown Gabardine Belted Ski Jacket Coat
This amazing ski jacket was made from soft brown gabardine in the 1940s. It was cut with padded shoulders and an elasticated waist which gives room for movement on the slopes whilst maintaining that wonderful 1940s silhouette. A small belt with a metal hook buckle adds a further style detail to the jacket. The sharp collar leads to an original metal zipper at the front that fastens the jacket. Large patch pockets make a fabulous design statement and add a practical element to this piece. The pockets actually have openings both at the top and also at the sides to keep your belongings safe and your hands warm. Inside, the jacket has a fully quilted lining for extra warmth and a maker’s label for Boyville Outerwear.
Shoulders: 16” seam to seam
Length: 23 1/2”
The jacket is in very good condition with only the slightest colour difference as pictured (only barely noticeable in strong photography light) as well as a few loose stitches to on the quilted lining.
