Rare Original 1930s 30s Volup Vintage Grey Chalk Stripe Suit By Worth’s
This incredible suit was made from a charcoal grey chalked striped wool in the 1930s. It was cut in a classic 1930s silhouette with unpadded shoulders and a straight cut long line jacket. The sharp notched collar leads to a single row of four buttons and there are small functional buckets at the waist as well as a small bust pocket. The tailoring and pattern match on this garment is just spectacular, look how the stripe in the fabric is used to add shape to the back of the jacket. Inside, the jacket is lined in cream rayon and has maker’s labels for Worth’s and Ormdale. The matching skirt is cut in an A-line style and fastens with press studs and a button at the side.
