This amazing hat was made in the 1930s from soft felt covered in fine black crepe. The hat was fashioned in a classic fedora style with a medium brim and an asymmetrically shaped crown. The entirety of the hat has been decorated with intricate geometric top stitching which adds wonderful detail to the piece. This includes the large stylised bow that adorns the side of the crown. This hat looks like it walked straight off the set of a 1930s detective movie and finding an example of a 1930s ladies fedora is very rare.

Size: The inner hat band measured at 20 1/2” but as it perches slightly, it fits me comfortably at 21”

The hat is in very good condition, however there is a small amount of damage to the crepe fabric at the top of the crown as pictured. Inspecting the inside closely, it may also have been crepe covered at one point, however the underlying felt is now largely exposed.
