This incredible coat was made from a vibrant chartreuse coloured wool in the 1940s. It was cut in a classic 1940s swing coat shape, with super strong padded shoulders and a loose fit below. The coat is designed to be open fronted, fastening with a hidden hook at the bust. The design features a large fabric overhang at the shoulders, both at the front and back, which further emphasised the strong shoulder line. Beautifully supple grey astrakhan is used to decorate oversized cuffs as well as the lapels running all the way down the front of the coat. Inside, the coat is lined in crepe and is without maker’s labels.

The coat is in very good condition with only a few moth grazes which have causes a slight loss of pile and a repair to the back of the collar as pictured.
