Original 1930s 30s Vintage Black Velvet Coat With Puff Shoulders And Gorgeous Gold Clasp
This incredible full length coat was made from a black velvet in the 1930s. The fabric was treated with Aridex according to the label to give it a degree of waterproofness, however this is likely to have long worn off. The coat features some fabulous late 1930s styling with its huge padded puff shoulders and gorgeous gathering along the shoulder line. The coat closes with the most beautiful coat coloured double clasp depicting embossed flowers and bejewelled with green stones. At the back, shapely princess seaming highlights the wearer’s shape. Inside, the coat is lined in cream satin and has the Aridex treatment label.

The coat is in very good condition with only some loose threads at the shoulder gathering and a few missing green stones on the clasp.
