RESERVED FOR LESLEY - Original Vintage 1930s 30s Satin Tunic With Hawaiian Inspired Floral Print
RESERVED FOR LESLEY - PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE
This stunning tunic was made in the 1930s from a beautifully soft crepe backed satin. The fabric features a large scale hibiscus print in soft pastel shades of pink, blue, green and yellow, highlighted with silver on a black background. The oversized pointed collar adds a real statement to this piece and the sleeves are beautifully gathered at the shoulders and tight at the cuff, creating a fabulous bishop sleeve design. The tunic fastens with press studs from the bust to the waist and it open from the waist seam down. This is such a stylish loungewear garment which would look fantastic worn with wide leg satin trousers.
Bust: 34” (tight 36”)
Shoulders: 14 1/2” seam to seam
The tunic is in very good condition with only a few very faint marks and tiny pinholes as pictured. There is also more modern overlocking to some of the inside seams (shoulders, armholes, collar and waist seams) which appears to have been added at a later date to prevent the most hard wearing seams from fraying.
