Original Victorian 1800s Antique Slate Blue Faille Bustle Back Skirt With Embroidered Hem
This incredible skirt was made in the Victorian era from a slate blue iridescent faille. It features an intricate structure of tied ribbons inside, which give the skirt a stunning gathered bustle effect at the back. The hem of the skirt has been decorated with silver grey embroidery work depicting flora.
Waist: 27” (hooks could be moved to make the waist a little larger)
Length: 38” front, 43” back
The skirt is in fair condition with a number of stains, tears and wear to the fabric, especially at the hem and waistband as pictured. The waistband is crudely attached and is also missing one of its hooks.
