Original Edwardian 1910s Antique Battenberg Tape Lace Blouse
This beautiful blouse was made from delicate cream Battenburg tape lace in the Edwardian period. The workmanship on the lace is just stunning with symmetrical motives featuring flowers, leaves and geometric details across both the front and back of the piece. The high neckline is typical of pieces from the Edwardian period and the sleeveless design enabled it to comfortably be worn under the jackets of the time. The blouse fastens at the back with an eclectic mix of hooks and eyes, press studs and tiny buttons and does not bear any maker’s labels.
Length: 19 1/2” at the front and 14” at the back
The blouse is in very good condition with no issues to note.
