Original 1950s Vintage Lilli Annette Lilli Ann Navy Blue Wool Skirt Suit

This wonderful skirt suit was made from a high quality navy blue wool in the 1950s. Like so many 1950s Lilli Ann suits, this piece is reminiscent of the classic shape defining suits of the 1940s with padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The jacket features a shawl collar, which elegantly highlights its v-neckline whilst the space between the two fabric covered buttons has a refined notch to catch the eye. The jacket also boasts a peplum back and the entire hip section has been padded in order to enhance the shape of the suit. The jacket has been lined in rayon and retains the original Lilli Annette label.

The rare Lilli Annette label belongs to the famous Lilli Ann brand and is intended for the petite or younger lady. It features the same classically stylish design with wonderful detailing and superb build quality that you would expect from a Lilli Ann suit but is slightly more understated.

This skirt suit is in very good condition, the only fault noticed is that the seam of the lining is coming loose at the hem. The bottom button may have been moved at some point to make the suit smaller as the buttons are not in alignment but could easily be moved back.
