Original 1950s 50s Vintage White And Grey Wool Tweed Coat
This fabulous coat was made from a loosely woven cream and grey wool tweed in the 1950s. It was cut in a classic fit and flare style with princess seaming at the back which neatly emphasises the nipped waist. Lightly padded shoulders help to create a flattering hourglass silhouette. Four white buttons run in a single line from the collar to the hip and turn up cuffs finish off this stunning coat in style. Inside, the coat is lined in grey satin and does not have any maker’s labels.
Bust: 36” (tight 38”)
Waist: 30”
Shoulders: 15 1/2” seam to seam
Length: 41” plus approx 2” hem
The coat is in good condition with only two small holes as pictured. There are areas of discolouration to the lining at the collar, hem and sleeves but these are not visible from the outside.
