Original Early 1950s 50s Vintage Cream Suit With Unusual Button Fastening By Juliette Fashions
This stunning suit was made from a cream wool in the early 1950s. It is cut in the classic early 1950s silhouette with a blousey cut jacket with dolman sleeves and a shorter length. Long sweeping lapels lead to an unusual waist closure with two beautiful fabric covered buttons. Gorgeous dart work accentuates the back of the blazer and the inside is lined in crepe. It bears the Juliette Fashions Pottsville maker’s label. We have attached an original advert for the opening of the Pottsville shop in 1953. We believe this piece dates to the early years after the opening. The skirt is cut in a slight A line shape and fastens with an original metal side zipper and button closure above.
