This gorgeous hat was made in the 1950s from black straw with a nubby boucle effect. It comes in a classic New Look shape and features gorgeous red, yellow and black feathers at the front. There is a pleated self fabric band around the hat, which crosses over at the back and is accented with black velvet. At the rear, it retains its original hat pin. Inside, the hat is lined in cream satin and has a maker’s label for Rosemay.
The hat perches loosely on the head and is secured with a hat pin. As a result it is suitable for a variety of head sizes.
The hat is in very good condition, however the feathers are a little tatty.
