This lovely coat was made from a fine black faille in the 1940s. It is a lovely lightweight cross season coat, which had been cut in a classic princess silhouette with padded shoulders, a nipped waist and a slightly flared skirt. The sweeping shawl style collar leads to a single fabric covered button fastening at the waist. Inside, the coat is unlined and has the maker’s label for Margold Model.
