Original 1940s White Gabardine With Blue Criss Cross Pattern Vintage Skirt Suit By Deanna Dee
This wonderful late 1940s skirt suit was made from crisp lightweight cotton in a cooling white with grey crisscross pattern. The suit boasts the most fabulous oak leaf style scalloped lapels which help to frame a complementing v-neckline. As you would expect from a suit of this period, it has padded shoulders and a nipped waist to give a subtle 1940s silhouette. The shape of the jacket is further complemented by the single lucite and metal button, which sits at the centre of the waist, and faux pockets. The skirt suit is also starting to show some nice early 1950s influences in its slightly longer jacket length which makes this suit adaptable to range of occasions. Inside the jacket has been lined in a cream satin and has its maker’s labels for Deanna Dee of California.
Length: 29” plus 1 1/2” hem allowance
This skirt suit is in good condition, however there are some barely noticeable faint marks as pictured but they are difficult to see.
