Original 1940s Vintage Petrol Blue Betty Rose Wool Coat With Huge Shoulders
This beautiful coat was made from a heavy quality petrol blue wool in the 1940s. A hounds tooth pattern has been chosen for the weave of the fabric and the coat is cut in a single breasted style. The elegant v-neckline is framed with a grand notched lapel collar. The coat closes with three buttons with ornate raised brass decoration with painted blue highlights and has functional flapped waist pockets. The raglan shoulders are boldly padded for that distinctive 1940s shape and feed into wide sleeves. The coat is lined in satin and has a maker’s label for Betty Rose.
