Original 1940s Vintage Grey Wool Swing Coat With Embroidered And Beaded Flowers By Frances Stuart

This beautiful swing coat was made from a lightweight grey wool in the 1940s. The coat has the most amazing large cape collar, with lapels down to just above the waist adorned with embroidered flowers with bead centres. This swing coat comes in a rare volup size and it has been cut with wide sleeves with a turn up cuff and true pockets (who doesn’t love pockets!). The inside of the coat has a label for Peter Frances and is lined in satin.

Shoulders: 18 1/2” from edges of shoulder pads
Bust: 48” with edges meeting
Length: 46”

This coat is in good condition with only a couple of small barely noticeable marks and a small hole. The silk lining of the coat does however show some underarm damage as pictured.
