Original 1940s 40s Vintage White Summer Skirt Suit With Button Details
This stunning summer suit was made from white cotton in the late 1940s. The original owner worn this lovely suit to her wedding in 1948. The suit is cut in a classic hourglass silhouette with a nipped waist and peplum below. The notched lapel collar leads to a single line of four buttons that fasten the jacket at the front. Four matching buttons adorn each of the functional waist pockets, adding a really lovely detail. Inside, the jacket is unlined and without maker’s labels. The matching skirt fastens with an original metal side zipper and hook and eye closure above.

Length: 26 1/2” plus 1 3/4” hem
The suit is in very good condition with only some very fain discolouration at the underarms and a couple of marks to the back of the collar as pictured.
