RESERVED FOR MAGGIE - Original 1940s 40s Vintage White And Navy Stripe Three Piece Skirt Suit With Reversible Waistcoat
This incredible three piece suit was made in the 1940s from a lightweight white cotton with a woven in navy stripe. It is cut in a classic 1940s silhouette with padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The jacket is cut in a collarless design with faux bust pockets and turn up cuffs. The jacket fastens with a single row of navy plastic buttons and is unlined inside.
The matching reversible waistcoat provides a sharp collar to the outfit and has a flattering W front cut. One side of the waistcoat is made from royal blue gabardine with a collar matching the striped suit fabric. The reverse side of the waistcoat features the suit fabric with a royal blue gabardine collar. The waistcoat fastens with four small mother of pearl buttons on each side.
The skirt is cut in a slight A line shape and fastens with a metal side zipper and button closure above.
