Original 1940s 40s Vintage Two Tone Tan And Brown Colour Block Gabardine Blazer
This amazing blazer was made from gabardine in the 1940s. It comes in a wonderful two tone design with a butterscotch coloured background embellished with chestnut brown semicircular colour block detailing at the bust and waist. The centres of the four fabric covered buttons also mirror this chestnut brown fabric. The jacket is cut in a classic 1940s style with padded shoulders, a nipped waist and a notched lapel collar. Inside, the blazer is lined in satin and does not have any maker’s labels.
Bust: 36” (tight 37”)
Waist: 29”
Shoulders: 16 1/4” seam to seam
Length: 25 1/2”
The blazer is in very good condition, however there is some slight fade and discolouration to the sleeves as pictured. There are also some faint marks near the hem and the bottom button, wear to the bottom fabric covered button, a slight graze and a tiny mark. There is some writing on the lining, which looks like the piece might have been used in film or theatre.
