Original 1940s 40s Vintage Three Piece Suit In Red And Black Check With Waistcoat
This stunning three piece suit was made in the 1940s from a red and black checked wool. It is cut in the classic 1940s hourglass silhouette with strong padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The jacket features an unusual long notched lapel collar and stunning triangular pockets at the waist. It fastens with three buttons at the waist creating a low V neckline which allows for the matching waistcoat to be seen underneath. Inside, the jacket is lined in black crepe and has a maker’s label for Kneeland’s. The waistcoat is cut with a high neckline and a classic double V front. It fastens with a single line of seven buttons and is also lined in black crepe. The matching skirt falls in a slight A line shape and fastens with an original metal side zipper and button above.
