Original 1940s 40s Vintage Sage Green Gab Gabardine Skirt Suit

This wonderful skirt suit was made from a sage green gabardine in the 1940s. It’s bold padded shoulders and nipped waist give the suit a classic 1940s silhouette. The jacket has been cut in a collarless style, giving further emphasis to the strong shoulders line. Three large fabric covered buttons run down the centre of the jacket from the neckline to the waist and this line is mirrored by decorative panelling on either side of the bust. At the back, shapely princess seaming gives added emphasis to the nipped waist. Inside, the jacket is lined in black crepe. The skirt is cut in a slight A line shape and closes with an original metal side zipper and button above.

The suit is in very good condition, however there are a few tiny marks and a pinhole as pictured as well as a darn near the hem.
