Original 1940s 40s Vintage Red Shot Silk Arrow Skirt Suit With Amazing Buttons
This fantastic skirt suit was made from a bright red shot silk in the 1940s. The strong padded shoulders and shape defining nipped waist give this skirt suit that highly desirable 1940s silhouette. The understated round collarless neckline is contrasted with eleven faux mother of pearl buttons. The same mother of pearl buttons are also used to adorn the arrow waist panels. Inside, the jacket is lined with red crepe and has labels for Ben Gershel & Robert Knox, Pans Donas as well as an American Garments Union label.
Shoulders: 14 1/2” seam to seam
Length: 26” plus 2” hem
The suit is in very good condition, however there is a small stain close to the neckline, some very minor underarm staining to the lining and a replacement plastic zipper to the skirt. There is also a small pulled thread as pictured.
