Original 1940s 40s Vintage Purple Crepe Gown With Incredible Two Colour Beading
This incredible dress was made in the 1940s from a rich blue purple crepe. It was cut with strong padded shoulders, a nipped waist and a softly draping skirt. The entire front of the bodice is decorated with stunning purple beadwork which ends in a flattering scalloped pattern at the waist. Pink accent beading adds a further stunning detail to the bodice. The skirt is softly draped and features two free moving accent panels in the centre, which have been adorned with matching two coloured beadwork. The short sleeves skim loosely across the tops of arms and the dress closes with original metal zippers at the side and the back of the neck. The workmanship on this piece is simply superb and it would make an absolutely breathtaking occasion dress.
