Original 1940s 40s Vintage Pink Satin With Circular Pattern House Coat With Double Elevens Dinner Plate Rationing Labels
This amazing house coat was made in a blush pink satin with atomic style blue, emerald, purple and red circles in the 1940s. It is cut in a wrap over style with an internal tie and external hook and eye fastening under a wide kimono style matching belt. A wonderful wide sleeves with turnup cuffs finish the kimono look. The garment stretches down towards the floor with a pleated skirt from the waist to the hem. This house coat is perfect for lounging around the home but would be equally stylish worn outdoors. The classic 1940s look is further emphasised with shape defining padded shoulders and inside it features the desirable dinner plate or double elevens rationing labels.
Bust: 36” (tight 37”)
Waist: 28”
Hips: Free
Length: 58”
The garment is in very good condition, however there is a circular mark to the bodice as well some far less noticeable staining to the same panel, which are easily camouflaged by the pattern and can only really be noticed from the inside. One of the shoulder pads could do with a stitch to firm it up.
