Original 1940s 40s Vintage Petrol Blue Embroidered Beaded And Belted Volup Skirt Suit

This stunning wrap skirt suit was made in the 1940s from a petrol blue crepe. The padded shoulders and belted nipped waist give this suit that desirable 1940s silhouette. A bold shoulder pleat further helps to highlight the shoulder padding and silhouette of this garment. The pretty sweetheart neckline is highlighted with embroidered and bead decoration down the centre of the jacket and sweeps round to the hem toward the back. Functional concealed waist pockets are placed expertly in the sweeping seam. Inside, the peplum is partially to give some shape reinforcing padding.

Waist: 36” but can be cinched in with belt

Waist: 33”
Hips: 40”
Length: 26” plus 2” hem

The suit is in very good condition, however there is a small mark, a pinhole and some discolouration near the jacket hem. There is also some underarm discolouration, predominantly to the inside, but you can just see it on the outside at the underarm seams. The hem has been reinforced with overlocking to the edge at some point.
