Original 1940s 40s Vintage Navy Blue Suit With Tie Detail And Pink Beaded Soutache Collar By Paul Sachs
This fabulous suit was made from blue rayon faille in the 1940s. The small pink Peter Pan collar has been adorned with delicate soutache work, faux pearl beads, sequins and prong set diamantés. It marks the beginning of a single row of nine fabric covered buttons. At the hip, the suit features an unusual tie design, which is also mirrored at the sleeve cuffs. Inside, the jacket is unlined and has a maker’s label for Paul Sachs. The matching skirt is cut in a longer length with fabulous darting at the hip and fastens with an original metal side zipper and hook and eye closures above.

The suit is in good condition with only some faint marks as pictured. It is missing the top jacket button, which could be replaced or alternatively a replacement could be made from fabric at the hem. The shoulder pads have been removed and the bottom of the skirt seam has a split. The skirt waist has been taken in at two places and could easily be let back out.
