Original 1940s 40s Vintage Milk Chocolate Brown Gabardine Skirt Suit By Kay Saks

This wonderful skirt suit was made from a milk chocolate gabardine in the 1940s. The beautiful sculpted lines created by the strong padded shoulders and nipped waist create that desirable hour glass silhouette. This silhouette is further highlighted with an over slung shoulder and a large single button at the waist. The v-neckline is framed with an unusual surround of lapels without a collar. Inside the jacket is lined in acetate and has a maker’s label for Kay Saks, whilst the skirt is fitted with a metal zipper and double button with a zigzag opening.

The suit is in very good condition, however the skirt hem has been let down and left unfinished and would benefit from being properly hemmed. The buttons at the skirt waist are mismatched and there is some light underarm staining to the lining as pictured.
