Original 1940s 40s Vintage Lightweight Grey Wool Princess Coat By Eldorado

This wonderful coat was made from a lightweight grey wool in the 1940s. The garment boasts a classic princess cut with a strong hourglass shape created using padded shoulders, a nipped waist and a flared skirt. The v-neckline is elegantly framed using a large rounded collar with notched decorative cut aways. It is tailored in a double breasted wrap over style with a single pair of chrome centred buttons at the waist. Two functional large curved waist pockets with arrow tips and button decoration help to exaggerate the flared hip. Inside, the coat is lined in faille and has maker’s labels for Eldorado and a retailer’s store label for the Fashion Shop.
