Original 1940s 40s Vintage Grey Wool With Atomic Fleck Skirt Suit
This amazing skirt suit was made in the late 1940s made from a grey wool with a fantastic primary coloured atomic fleck In shades of red, yellow and blue. A downward turned sharp dagger collar with small notch lapels frames a v neckline. The jacket is cut with strong padded shoulders and a nipped waist brought in with a more casual single button just above the waist. Clever darting at the waist helps to give it even more shape. There is a functional bust pocket as well as two additional pockets to the waist. Inside, the jacket is lined in satin and has a National Recovery Board label. The skirt closes with a metal side zipper and a button above.
Shoulders: 14 3/4” seam to seam
Length: 31” plus 2 1/2” hem
The skirt suit is in very good condition, however there are two darns which are well concealed in the vibrancy of the pattern as well as some under arm staining to the lining.
