Original 1950s 50s Vintage Grey Wool Suit With White Highlights By Walda Scott
This gorgeous suit was made from a beautiful quality grey wool in the early 1950s. Its rounded collar and placket have been trimmed with white linen, which is also used in a line across the bust and for a cute pocket square detail. The waist is cleverly darted to accentuate the waist, giving it a classic early 1950s hourglass silhouette. The shoulders are rounded yet padded and feature an usual geometric stepped seam detail on the back. The jacket fastens with four fabric covered buttons and is lined in grey crepe. It has a maker’s label for Walda Scott and a retailer’s label for Pogues of Cincinnati. The skirt comes in a lovely longer length and closes with an original metal side zipper and button fastening above.
