Original 1940s 40s Vintage Grey Wool Skirt Suit With Beaded Red Gabardine Panels
This beautiful suit was made from dove grey wool in the 1940s. It was cut in a classic hourglass silhouette with padded shoulders and a nipped waist. Four fabric covered buttons run from the notched lapel collar down to the waist. The jacket is adorned with two red arrow shaped gabardine panels which are decorated with delicate beading. One of these panels accentuates the waist pocket whilst the other is used to highlight the panelled detailing at the wearer’s left bust. Inside, the jacket is lined in nude crepe. The skirt is also part lined and closes with its original metal side zipper and hooks and eyes above.
