Original 1940s 40s Vintage Grey Red Striped Atomic Fleck Jacket With Red Slits By Arlene

This wonderful jacket was made from a grey wool with a red silk stripe with an atomic fleck in the 1940s. The v-neckline and is framed beautifully with a scalloped collar, which has been cleverly mirrored with horizontal sweetheart panelling. To further exaggerate the contours of these features, eye catching red slits highlight the direction of the collar and panels. The padded shoulders and nipped waist give this jacket a classic 1940s silhouette. The garment also features four fabric covered buttons and turn up cuffs. Inside, the jacket is lined in red crepe and has a makers label for Arlene.

The jacket is in good condition, it does however have some light staining to the cuff and some seam splits to the lining. There are also some small holes, thread pulls and a few darns as pictured.
