Original 1940s 40s Vintage Grey Micro Check Suit By Betty Rose With Huge Pockets
This fabulous suit was made from a slate grey wool in the 1940s. This slate grey effect is actually achieved through blue, green and black micro checks on a cream background, which gives lots of potential variety for accessory colours. The suit is cut in a classic strong 1940s silhouette with huge padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The jacket features a super sharp pointed dagger collar with decorative stitching and huge patch pockets at the waist which have been adorned with buttons. Four matching buttons run down the centre of the jacket and inside, it is lined in grey satin and bears the desirable maker’s label for Betty Rose Fashions. The skirt is cut in a slight A line shape, also has a Betty Rose label and fastens with an original metal side zipper and button above.
