Original 1940s 40s Vintage Gold Mustard Wool Coat with Soutache Decoration And CC41 Utility Label
This stunning coat was made from a super soft mustard coloured wool in the 1940s. It is cut in a classic loose fitting swing shape with a small collar and two buttons fastening the coat at the neck and just below the bust. The coat features beautiful soutache embroidery which is used to highlight the functional waist pockets. A shoulder yolk at the back of the coat emphasises the classic 1940s padded shoulders. Inside, the coat is unlined and has beautifully bound seams as well as the desirable CC41 utility label.
Shoulders: 16” seam to seam
The coat is in good condition, however there are a number of small marks and nibbles as pictured. However these are not very noticeable when worn with the largest being to the inside of the collar and the underside of the shoulder pads. There is also some slight wear to the top button.
