LAYAWAY PAYMENT 2 OF 2 - RESERVED FOR SUSIE - PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE - Original 1940s 40s Vintage Linen Silk Fleck Summer Suit By Marbrooke Of California

This voluptuous summer suit was made from a lightweight aqua linen with a silk fleck in the 1940s. The short sleeve jacket was cut with a v-neckline and notched collar. Three fabric covered buttons extend down in a single row to the nipped waist with hook and eye fastening. Three rows of  vertical fagoting are used to decorate each side of the bust and there is a decorative pleated shoulder overhang. At the waist, a small peplum finished off the jacket in classic 1940s style. Inside, the jacket is unlined for warmer weather and has a maker’s label for Marbrooke Of California.
