This gorgeous jacket was made from a buttercream coloured gabardine in the 1940s. It is cut in the classic 1940s silhouette with super strong padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The collarless design further enhances the strong shoulder line whilst clever darting adds definition to the waist. There are two functional slit pockets at the waist as well as a tiny pocket at the wearer’s left bust. The blazer fastens with a single line of three buttons and is unlined with beautifully pinked seams. It also bears a maker’s label for Glick’s for Slacks of Los Angeles as well as a handwritten mark for Roxy, a large LA costume house.

Bust: 36”

Waist: 29”

Shoulders: 17” seam to seam

Length: 27”

The blazer is in very good condition with only a couple of repairs to the back of the collar (cleverly disguised as darts, and a few tiny marks as pictured.
