Original 1940s 40s Vintage Black And White Puppytooth Check Skirt Suit By Weathervane
This stunning suit was made from a celanese fabric (acetate rayon) in the late 1940s. The fabric features a monochrome black and white puppy tooth check pattern. The suit is cut in a classic 1940s hourglass silhouette featuring padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The rounded collar is adorned with stitch detailing at the edge, which is also mirrored on the sloping pockets at the waist. The jacket fastens with five buttons running from the neckline to the waist and is unlined. Inside, it featured the wonderful Weathervane tailored by Handmacher label. The skirt is also unlined and closes with an original metal side zipper and button fastening above.
