This stunning blouse was hand made in the 1930s from a mustard yellow rayon with a polka dot pattern. It features beautiful large bishop sleeves with tightly fitting cuffs. The shoulders are gathered in classic 1930s style with a small internal support to give that peaked shoulder effect. The small stand up collar leads to a single row of yellow glass buttons which fasten the blouse. Pleating at the bust seam and across the back of the blouse adds a wonderful drape allowing the fabric to fall in flattering folds. The tiny pocket at the bust adds a further adorable design element.

Bust: up to 44” but intended to be worn very blousy  - please make sure you check the shoulder measurement

Shoulders: 14 1/2” seam to seam 

Length: 19 1/4”

 

The blouse is in very good condition, however there is a small patched repair near the hem which is not visible when the blouse is tucked in as well as a very minor underarm seam repair. The blouse is handmade and the buttonholes are quite crudely sewn. There is also a mismatched button on one cuff and some light ghost dots at the back as pictured.
