Navy Blue Original Late 1940s 40s Vintage Coat With Beaded V Collar By Rothmoor
This fabulous coat was made from beautifully soft wool cashmere blend in the late 1940s. It was cut in the classic loose swing fit of the period. The large collar has been rounded off at the edges and features beautiful beadwork in the shape of an arrow head or upside down V on each wing. The coat fastens with a single fabric covered and embroidered button at the neck and has functional slit pockets at the waist. The large turn up cuffs finish off the sleeves beautifully. Inside, the coat is lined in navy satin and features the wonderful maker’s label for Rothmoor, a clear mark of the quality of the fabric and tailoring of this piece.

The coat is in good condition, however there are a few small marks as pictured as well as a large patch to one sleeve which is hidden by the cuff so not visible when worn. The bottom of the lining is showing some slight discolouration (we have shown pictures respectively in normal light and then enhances so this can be seen but it is not very noticeable at all).
