Magnificent Original 1930s Vintage Brown Puff Sleeve Wool Coat
This magnificent coat was made from brown wool in the 1930s. The textile has an unusual ribbed texture which adds real interest to the piece. It was cut in the classic loose fitting silhouette of the mid 1930s with an asymmetrical wrap over closure fastened with one button at the neck and two at the waist. This creates a flattering high collarless neckline, however the neck button can also be worn oven to create a different silhouette. The shoulders have been gently gathered and run into slight bishop sleeves that terminate in shaped and fitted cuffs which add a wonderful design detail. Inside, the coat is lined in sumptuous brown silk crepe with a warm wool interlining.

The coat is in good condition, however there is some damage to the lining as pictured and the hem needs to be stitched back up. There are also a few holes and frays as pictured but they blend into the texture of the coat.
