Incredible Original Red 1940s 40s Vintage Belted Princess Coat With Huge Fox Fur Collar
This incredible coat was made from lipstick red wool crepe in the early 1940s. It was cut in a classic princess coat silhouette with padded shoulders and tightly nipped waist which has been accentuated through clever shirring at each side of the waist. The coat fastens with a single floral button (likely a replacement) and a hook at the waist and retains its original fabric belt. The large fluffy fox fur collar adds real luxury to the coat and gives it strong femme fatale vibes! Wide sleeves and functional slit pockets at the waist add a practical element to this piece. Inside, the coat is lined in red rayon with a warm wool interlining and has a maker’s label for Jenny of Cincinnati.

The coat is in excellent condition externally with only a few loose stitches to the internal tabs that nip in the waist as pictured.
