Incredible Original 1930s 30s Vintage Black Velvet Evening Coat With Gold Sequinned Collar
Thus exquisite evening coat was made from sumptuous black velvet in the 1930s. The strong padded shoulders really give this piece impact. The coat was cut with an elegant full length silhouette and fastens with a single button and a velvet tie at the high neckline. The super sharp dagger collar has been adorned with sequins in an abstract swirled design to add a stunning detail to the coat. Inside, the coat is lined in white checked rayon and does not have any maker’s labels.

The coat is in very good condition with only a few slight depressions to the pile of the velvet. There is wear to the button and the end of the yellow thread used to secure the sequins is visible. There is also a spot and some very slight underarm discolouration to the lining as pictured.
